Default Frame recon

I recently purchased a used truck that has been notched(frame has been altered to accomodate a drop). so this leads me to a few questions
what can i do to have it pass recon?
can i have someone channel/close the frame and bring the ridgidity(strength) back?
Is there any situation where a notched frame can pass?
I'm new to recon so please forgive my ignorance.
Any insight ,help ,info ,advice is welcomed.
thanks

Is it readily noticeable? Notching a frame is pretty hardcore...

hmm? IDK? hard to say, seeing how i know its there.. LOL
I'll try and post up some pics later when i get a chance.

I don't plan on bagging the truck or dropping it any lower so closing the notch is an option but will it pass recon??
Thanks

Notching the frame may reduce structural rigidity and compromise it. If they know about it, they may not pass it until you get it fixed. I'm not a recon officer, it'd be better to post this in the recon section. I'll move it now.

When it comes to welding, the word I got from Lois previously was, so long as the welds were clean (not bird-sh*t welds), it should be ok. But I'm guessing...if notching, especially if the suspension mounts were relocated...that's a whole different animal...I'm guessing.

YAH.. IMO the notch isnt just a cut job they actually took the time to try and channel the frame, and as for the drop its only a flip kit so the suspension on the rear end hasnt really changed..
pics should be up tomorrow, truck wont be back til then.
