Default Halo Angel Eyes

Hey howzit everyone!

Was just wondering if the projector halo angel eye headlights are legal?

Plus too was wondering about HIDs. I read a lot of posts but not sure if it's completely illegal or what. I know the bulbs have to glow white. And also if it is legal then how high can i go in HIDs. EX: 5000k?

I'm no recon expert, but I'd say as long as they're DOT legal then you should be good? Do they have that stamp or approval on them? Lois should know...giver her a bit and she'll answer.

If your car didn't come with HIDs, and the housing uses aftermarket HIDs, then they are illegal. The angel eyes themselves aren't illegal though.

Yeah that's what i heard. That really limits to what you can buy as for aftermarket items for your car. So HID kits are out of the question? Wow i just wanted to see a little more better on the streets.

If your car's stock headlights are inadequate, you may consider installing a set of aftermarket driving lights (that are SAE/DOT approved), and/or changing your stock bulbs for a pair of OSRAM Silverstars (not the Sylvania-branded ones at Checker).

However, if you're wanting the halos and HIDs for the appearance aspect, well, ummm...

Yeah i polished my headlights and buffed it out. Looks brighter and no more haze over it. But i have that sun damage on it which i can't take out. But yeah i have a 99 accord lx. I was just thinking about buying stock headlights and new bulbs.

Actually while driving tonight, i noticed my lights got dimmer. I was going to blockbusters in pearl city and saw the reflections off of the glass. Lol. My right side light wasn't on. But it came back on about 20 minutes later. Ironic? Lol. But i guess it's time to buy new lights or something. Thanks for your help everyone.
