Default I finished my RX7 Reference Photos Project

It justs for people to be able to eyeball the harder parts of putting back together an RX-7...and for reference. It's not a step-by-step...it's just so that people can see how it all goes together.

What'cha think? Warning 56k!

Oh yeah...it's fine...but I have a cooling issue and some other things that will hopefully get taken care of this weekend.

pretty nuts man. I always had the impression that your FD was more heavily modified.

Damn cars are always a work in progress. The previous owner(s) of my car never swapped out the precat for a DP, so everything under the hood was baked. So I was constantly working on the car and fixing shit. Once I pulled the precat, it was way cooler under the hood. Rx7's = spending more time working on them than driving them.

Nah...my RX-7 has never been modified heavily...but it did have every single thing under the hood replaced practically at one time or another. Hose, solenoid and sensor wise, the thing is practically brand new since it's only had about 6-7000 miles put on it since I did the rebuild and then rebuilt it again. Hah.

Some of the bigger parts are the original, but for the most part, I had everything switched out, including the engine housings, rotors...etc. It was alot of money. And it still isn't working right...lol...I'd like to pull the current stock catalytic converter and put in a hi-flow cat. That sucker is probably one of my heating problems. Plus it would drop a helluva lotta weight.

I put all that up to not knowing crap about them. I know a helluva lot more now, and I can take it apart and put it back together pretty easily, espescially after reading and working through the factory service manual over and over. I just don't know jack about engine management yet and that's my current problem with it.

read in one of the car mags that there is a rumor about the rx7 coming back as project x(cant remember the name,most likely i'm wrong) but it will be sporting a 1.6 rotary and should be boosted also. if i find that mag again next time i go to borders i'll post up the name so you guys can check it out

Post it up if you can find it. IONO about a 1.6 rotary unless technology has changed since I was last into these cars. There's a reason why it was 1.2 & 1.3.
