The Glock alone would do just fine.

There was an episode on Sons of Guns that featured a "flashlight gun". Folded up it looked like a handgun-case. But you could fold the case back to expose the gun, and the case would become the stock. Some other companies made their own version of it. Pretty interesting.

yeah, that episode was pretty cool. Vince is getting more and more attitude with each episode, though. He's got skills, but he's got some attitude arguing with the boss so Will has to put him in his place sometimes.

I like Kris(?) - the apprentice dude. no matter how strange or tight the deadlines are, he just says "yessir" and gets to the gettin'.

need to get some kinda small, earbud phones so i can listen to pandora while i work on computers - boring being all alone in a room full of computers.

bluetooth would be even better, so i don't get the cord hung up on things and yanked out of my ears (ouch).

The "flashlight gun", by the way, is a Magpul Industries FMG-9. Built on a Glock platform using the slide and mags. Not legal for us law-abiding citizens, re; a short barrel SMG, or stock-equipped pistol. Oddly enough, the airsoft community already has their own version out. Tried my friend's FMG on a Glock 18 (full-auto)... Yeah, it's a toy, but a FUN toy!

Pocket check! I have three belt hard points, are they included?

Pockets; wallet, key and clicker for truck, work keys, Leatherman brand tac-knife, a dollar. That's it.

Leatherman original multi-tool in pouch back right hip. Same one after all these years. It's getting very loose (like a butterfly knife), so I might get a new one by years end. This one is over 12 years old and won't quit. Getting my son a better one than the one he bought at Kmart...get the boy good stuff now.

Mace brand MK3 pepper gel blaster, right side. Holster can slide back near my back hip, or slide foreword to deploy quickly.

Left side is my Brown Co. clip on pouch; iPhone, work phone, work cards (credit cards, etc.), tiny 1st aid kit (burn gel, insect sting kill, sudafed, alcohol wipes, 2 bandages), prayer oil (hey, I'm a pastor).

If it's night or early morning I'll stick my AA Maglite with LED conversion and smart switch into my left back pocket. Mini Maglite owners NEED the LED conversion.

Yes, I am

Ugh...I repied on the post without looking at the video in the earlier post. I guess I get the Capt. obvious award for the day. That was a copy of the SHOT show vid from Magpul.

They make great tactical accessories for AR-15/ M4 rifles and variants. Real practical stuff that works. The FMG9 is cool, though. Duh.

you need THIS for where you work?

oh, this is good stuff- i got this for my wife, my mom, and all our cars. i keep them in flashlight or tool holsters, so they look innocuous but are still easy to reach (you can access the trigger w/o lifting up the flap, so you can shoot the thing w/o removing from holster).

oh, do things carried on belts count, too?

add to my "off duty" carry list:

either pepper gel in holster or ASP in holster, depending on where i'm going and what my wife is carrying. if hiking where encounters with dogs might be expected, both.

maybe BFK if i really expect to run into anything hiking.

original leatherman in original leather case from costco - case is all bus' but still works.

tactical light in holster, again, depends on where i'm going and what expected use might be.

Not so much stuff I keep in my pocket but the stuff that I always have in my car is tool and skate gear, spare change of clothes/shoes towel etc, GPS, Ipod touch, ipod nano. I always rock my messenger bag which has all of my essentials like smokes lighter gum camera and laptop with chargers etc and in the pockets I just rock my wallet and keys.

I like those man-purses. You can carry all kinds of sh*t in there...and still remain inconspicuous.

...to a certain extent. I mean...it's still a man-purse.

OPINION TIME:

I know that I get what I need and am not swayed much by opinion, but I really do need an objective and unbiased opinion. So here goes;

Grab-it Pack Gadget Holster

Is that something you'd wear; NOT to the movies or a nice dinner out, okay? If you worked with your hands a lot, had to be on the move a lot, and carry a decent amount of crap with you so you didn't have to go back to the truck 12 times a day.

I like it, it's either this or I'm ordering another Nite-Ize Clip Pock-its XL holster. I had one for five years until the velcro gave out.
Clip Pock-its XL
Or maybe the Hip Pock-it's holster/ giant bag. Looks like a black creature hanging on to the belt, but. Hip Pock-its Utility Holster

Thank you in advance. Please give your opinions on what you'd wear and why.

just my .02 -

i probably wouldn't wear the grab-it pack - it doesn't look too comfortable, would probably only encourage you to carry too much stuff, and would get heavy real quick. plus, it might chafe in places you don't want to chafe. it would also put all the weight on one hip, and if you wore two, well... i probably wouldn't.

for those times when i need to carry a bunch of little stuff like audio equipment, connectors, etc... i just wear cargo pants. sometimes you gotta do the slap dance thing to remember where things are, but they work, and i don't have anything to lay down and forget because it's all with me.

i still prefer my old-fashioned leather tool belt. it's worn, torn, and all bus' but it gets the job done, and i just put only what i figure i'll need in it when i load up for a job.

i do like the clip pock-it and the hip pock-it, though.

i was looking at something like the hip version, because i need at the minimum my two-way, leatherman, and flashlight, and assorted other pens and bits and this will give me the flexibility to carry a variety of things, including my two-way or phone in case i need to.

again, though, depends on how much and how big the things you gotta carry are.

for the big things like cordless drill, etc... i have a rolling tool box or two that comes along w/ me on jobs (again, what i take depends on what i figure i'll need).

I ordered the Pock-it's XL. My Leatherman sheath is had it and the elastic retainers are gone...when I walk the halls i sound like I got shootin' irons on, click-click, click-click, click-click.

A friend blessed me with a new Smith and Wesson Special Ops folder (product code SPECM); tanto blade, assisted-opening, quite nice. I gave my son my Leatherman tac knife. Only thing is now I lost my two screwdrivers (on the Leatherman knife, my Leatherman multi-tool still has them).

I carry all that crap I posted about earlier, just about everywhere I go, even "off duty". A carryover from Molokai days, when you want to be prepared for just about anything that comes your way (helping people, that is).

Agreed..the grab it pack is way too big....you could never wear that around town they would think your a nut case.

but the smaller clip pocket that looks reasonable...although I would go with that pock-it holster instead.

yeah- one of the holster things (forgot what size) makes the perfect case for my two-way. it's got a caribiner on the side so i can clip my keys, etc... and elastic pockets on the sides for my mini tac lite and a mini screwdriver for taking apart those little screws on computers.

that way i don't forget anything when i venture out of the bat cave - i just grab the whole thing and go when i get called.
