M-05 Tech Thread
I saw the M-03 and M-04 tech threads so I thought I'd start one for the M-05...
For the first setup tip, here's a trick I used on my M-05 Pro to get rid of a bunch of slop in the steering. You've probably noticed that the plastic steering posts that the bell cranks ride on are a little too small in diameter. Just wrap a piece of Scotch tape around each post and trim it nicely so you have a single wrap with no overlap and you'll have a perfect fit for the kit ball bearings. This way you don't have to buy the expensive aluminum stuff to have precise steering in your M-05.
Note: You'll probably need to have ball bearings in your bell cranks in order for this to work. I wouldn't try it if you are using the bushings that come with the base kit.
