my bike would take about a week to do the 1/4 mile - 1 st gear was good for about 60 mph so it sucked until I got going.

short course was a high 35 and long course with the chicane was a high 57.

I'm going to put up a course database soon...it'll be old records until we get a new track.

The database program used is pretty complicated, as you probably know...lotsa PHP and queries and crap like that. I'm not even close to knowing how it works, so I'll have to sludge my way through it. Unlike some of you brains, I never took classes for any of this, so I'm kinda slow.

Same thing with our formula cars. First gear is equal to second in a street car. Combine that with a metal clutch and super light weight flywheel, starting off takes some practice. 35 on the short course . . . not bad. What was your times on the long course without the chicane?

not sure - I hated long course with no chicane - everybody ate me alive on the top end on the 250. Probably 56's.

(It was fun catching them on the brakes into turn one though - going from the top of 6th down to a first gear turn left a lot of opportunities on the brakes for a pass.

I was too lazy to change the internal gearing for only one day.

Most don't know it, but our track was very unique. In cars we had 4 places on the long to make a pass. That's very unusual for any road course. Obviously turn 1 would be the most popular. 56's, not bad. What was the all time track record for a bike?

Well, I can't take all of the credit, alot of it is a template hack created by others...but I have done alotta customization with my own brain so that makes me feel a bit better. I'm definetly learning alot from all of this. And it's fun, too!

Anything to make the place a better experience for all of you!

so what is the violin for?

I think the track record for a bike - long course with chicane is 53.8 - short course is 35.0 (I swear layden got into the 34's) and fast course - 51.3.

not bad if we had 4 wheels we could go twice as fast

he he
