Default ABC Hobby Mini Genetic Shaft Drive AWD

Look what came in the mail, today. One of Dave's recommendations was the ABC Hobby Mini Genetic Shaft Drift AWD. As he requested, I'm posting this up to see if there is any interest. If so, I think you should mention it to Dave and maybe he may order several of these. The quality of the parts I must say are very good and the price was pretty reasonable at $140 preassembled w/ ball diffs, see thru plastic oil shocks, universal CVD's, ball bearings, and aluminum motor mount. Not to mention, that this even included a very nice 210MM Suzuki Swift body (that's not a typo).

Here's pics of the car right out of the box:

Here's pics a few hours later along with the carbon fiber chassis and some Tamiya hopups:

Forgot to mention that the shipping is about $50.

I can't wait to see it run! How much more is the carbon fiber chassis? BTW is this why you've been selling lots of your cool RC stuff lately?

Sweet

Kinda ouch on the $50 shipping...... Pressumably that was because it came from China?

The parts look beefy. The SS allen screws are a nice touch for a kit in that price range. Are thos eanother set of shocks in the last 4 pix?

Is it also gonna run the 540 motors I assume like the other mini's? I hope you come out to whoop our butts with it soon

Thanks, guys. As I told Dave, this is more incentive for me to get my butt out there. I may have to wait until I sell my place, though, which will hopefully be soon.

Yes, this is part of the reason that I have been selling off my cars as I cannot justify having so many same scale cars to the boss.

The first bunch of pics is of the car stock right out of the box. The carbon fiber chassis was $72 which included the upper deck & battery brace. However, as Dave and I discovered, the stock fiberglass is really nice and I personally think it's better quality than Tamiya. Had we known this before hand, we probably wouldn't have ordered the carbon fiber chassis.

The bottom photos are with Tamiya titanium screws, aluminum ball ends, clamping hubs, & TRF shocks.

Forgot to say thanks for the pics and info!!!

I thought the fiberglass look pretty good to from the pics. But also did'nt know there was a CF chassis for it! The CF looks really good to!

Look forward to seeing this thing in action!

If anyone wants to see this car kit in person, I will have mine (soon to be Plo's) at the shop starting tomorrow (Sunday, 29th).
Let's be clear here... I don't sell this car....I don't know how to get it at a decent price. I bought mine last year from somewhere in Hong Kong (probly Dinball) primarily to "check it out"
I bought the same stuff as Keith (Graphite etc.)
It is pretty cool and very high quality.
Parts support is non-existant in the U.S.

this is a prime candidate for the SCM class
SCM= Speed Crazed Morons

I will bring in a "sample" of the Tech Racing conversion if you all want to see one.

oh oh Manny's gonna get mad at me again for being deceitful and underhanded

If anyone is interested, I'm really considering selling the 210MM Suzuki Swift Body (brand new unpainted) along with the rally lights & light buckets and stock wheels & high-grip tires (Dave said they were pretty good tires) this kit came with. PM me an offer if interested.

i've been seriously considering all the different options, especially this one. My second option would be to buy a T.R. conversion, seeing as how i have about 2 candidates for that one.Dave ask Sandy if he wants to sell that conversion kit to Young_version.If so pm me, if not its cool.

Funny Ash...Everyone hops up their M03 in such different ways that adding your initials at the end is probably OK.
