LOL... thanks. It wasn't exactly planned... kind of a spur of the moment, angry eyes kinda deal. I guess I can't ask Amy to let me do burnouts on the track clean up days anymore. She'll tell me I already used up my one chance... LOL

Stupid me forgot how what adjustments I had to make to the front damping. I only realized I was supposed to stiffen the front by 8 clicks when I came back. -_-

I instead stiffened the front by 3 clicks. The car handled a little better. I was able to take turns a little quicker with less tire chirping. The front felt a little more "confident". I noticed it was a bit easier to get the rear end loose, although it snuck up on me when it finally did and I lost some time trying to straighten the car instead of just working with the slide.

i need adjustable shocks... those koni's are made of gold or something and the kyb's are cheap but not many people recommend them.

with the new front damper adjustments, does the car have a tendency to oversteer now, or just that one time? What does your tires look like, rolling? or its looking flat across the face of the tread?

no worry dave, your car's coming along. The good thing is that we are tuning in steps, then noting the results. I think we are really close on what we can do with the car now. Once we have it dialed, then we jump to the shocks.

It seemed like just that one instance and it was after hard braking.

My tires are rolling to top of the little triangle in the front, and my rears are flat.

You wait, im helping spike too. lol.

The good thing about Dave is that he is open to my unorthodox method of tuning and its working out for the both of us. I feel a sense of pride that we took a v6 autotragic camaro and got great results so far. Him beating the mustang that just dropped 2000+ into his suspension is the icing on the cake.

Hit me up at the races. Looks like you got the damping settings pretty good now. I think we should tweek the tire pressures as the next step.

Yea, I couldn't believe he spent that much. I mean, yea, I got $1,000 or so tied up in my suspension - QA-1s & Hotchkis springs, front sway, and rear arms - but that's because no one else makes stuff for my car and I'm pretty much dealing with monopolies at every turn when it comes to suspension parts. But, I woulda thought that Mustang stuff, even rare Cobras, would be hella cheaper than that. But, I guess he went with some serious, high dollar goodies. Track tested, mother approved kinda junk. LOL I'm scared the boy is gonna by Rs too soon just to beat up on Dave.

his stuff is top notch. i asked him about his alignment and if there were markers so he can move it, he doesn't adjust it at the track. i'd make some marks where they are at now since he had his alignment done, then on race day kick out the front tires and set it on kill.

The worst thing is that he is not learning the car and honing his driving skills, he's buying his speed. Nothing but bad driving habits can come from this. I give Cory a bunch of shit for this all the time. I tell him: "see, you put all kind of stuff on your car all at once and now look...bad habits." lol.

Yea, he knows. I told him about that as well. I wish I fit better in his car. I'd love to show him some better lines and braking points, but I had a hard enough time tring to just turn the wheel in that thing... LOL. Hopefully, he spends the next year or so learning his current set up. R's for him now would be a mistake.

Totally agree with the buying speed thing. Every time I upgrade a part, I become slower or I struggle to keep my times consistent....at least until I learn how to drive the car again.

I feel you on that one. But it is also easier to be the test car for developing parts. I was testing a set of traction rods for the altima and maxima. When the final thing comes out, I will get a free set.

The bad news is that I don't think I could dd with the rods on....they sit about an inch above the ground. The test rods sat half inch above the ground and I kept getting stuck on speed bumps.

Well, i can help you get faster, the problem is, compromise. How much daily driving compromise are you willing to sacrifice for faster times?
